Hickory Mountain 10K Trail Run
When: Saturday, September 18, 2010 @ 9:00 AM (It’s going to be a beautiful summer day in the mountains!)
Where: Guion Farm (Sky Valley Rd.), DuPont State Forest (Cedar Mtn, NC)

Course: Starting and finishing at Guion Farm in beautiful DuPont State Forest, the Hickory Mountain Trail race will use single track trails, double track, and forest service roads. You will start on Buck Forest, turn right on Jim Branch, ease on down this beautiful trail and take a right on Lake Imaging, take a right on Ridgeline. This is where it gets interesting! You will climb up Ridgeline and take a left onto Hickory Mountain Loop (clockwise), follow the loop around to Hickory Mountain Road, take HM Rd, go left on Boundary and then right on Guion. Go left on HM Rd, and then finish left on Buck Forest. Start and Finish will be the same area! STAY TUNED for the course map once the start and finish is determined.

Awards: AND NOW FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT! IT’S ANYONE’S RACE! All finishing times will be inputted into an age graded calculator to determine the overall winners. (The calculator will handicap your time and even out the competition across all ages.) Locally made commemorative awards will be given to the top 10 women and top 10 men overall. Top 5 men and top 5 women will receive a pair of Vibram Five Fingers Shoes! Top 10 will also get injinji socks and VFF t-shirts. Traditional age group listings will be available on the race website only.
